Fathom 15 | Listener Question: Knowing & Growing with Type

In this Fathom 15, we talk briefly with one of our listeners in Malaysia, Chin Ai. Chin Ai is a Dominant Type 3 and had a question for the Fathoms co-hosts: “How do you draw the line between letting your type and dependencies become a self-fulfilling prophecy and proactively moving away from your type’s tendencies in a healthy and sustainable manner?”

  • Abram (Dominant Type 9] on using the surface awareness of the tool, using that knowledge to become who you truly are and why a practice like meditation is vital. [07:15]
  • Drew [Dominant Type 3] on viewing type as the trailhead, the two paths that await you  at the trailhead and why choosing your path is the most important first step. [9:40]
  • Creek [Dominant Type 4] on stepping into more of your true identity and less identifying with your ego patterns. [11:55]
  • The Abram quote generator: “You cannot give up anything unless you know what it is and to discover who you are, you must first discover who you are not.” [14:59]
  • Chin Ai on how she’s working through this with her Enneagram work. [14:52]
